Gypsies formulated it and claimed it to be a cure all.
According to one source, Rosemary Gladstar believes it to be one of the world’s finest cosmetic formulas. She has seen it sold in fancy bottles in the finest cosmetic department.
6 parts lemon balm
4 parts chamomile
1 part rosemary
3 parts calendula
4 parts roses
1 part lemon peel
1 part sage
3 parts comfrey leaf
Vinegar to cover (apple cider or wine)
Rose water or witch hazel extract
Essential oil of lavender or rose (optional)
- Place all herbs in a wide mouth jar. Add enough vinegar to come about an inch or two above the herb mixture. Cover tightly and let sit in a warm spot for two to three weeks.
2 Strain, Reserve the liquid. To each cup of herbal vinegar add ½-1 cup rose water or witch hazel. Add a drop to two of essential oil, Rebottle. This product doesn’t not need to be refrigerated and will stay preserved indefinitely.

Relaxing Bath Salt
2 cups epsom salts 6 drops each: lavender, tea tree, orange and lavender essential oils
Blend together ( a spoon works great) and store in cool place. swirl 1/2 cup into bath just before getting in.
If you think you may be sensitive to one or more of these oils, first do a skin patch test. Dilute a small amount of the salt in water and dab on the wrist or inside of the elbow. Wait 24 hours. If reddening,rash or itching occurs do not use bath salt.
